Comprehensive Assessment of Collagen/Sodium Alginate-Based Sponges as Hemostatic Dressings
In our search for a biocompatible composite hemostatic dressing, we focused on the design of a novel biomaterial composed of two natural biological components, collagen and sodium alginate (SA), cross-linked using 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl ...

A hybrid biomechanical–electromagnetic energy‐harvesting e‐skin is developed using a gelatin‐based outer matrix with a zwitterionic conductive inner layer. The e‐skin autonomously generates stable electrical stimulation from daily body motion and ambient electronics, enabling significantly enhanced wound healing bothin vitro and in vivo.

Treatment‐resistant wounds caused by polymicrobial biofilms are refractory to conventional therapies due to the dense extracellular matrices. We developed μBLAST, a microblasting wound dressing that combines MnO2‐doped biosilica and a H2O2‐releasing mesh to generate localized oxygen microbubbles that mechanically disrupt biofilms.

Physicochemical and Mechanical Characterization of Commercial Collagen‐Based Wound Dressings
Chronic wounds pose a global challenge by increasing patient morbidity and healthcare costs. Collagen‐based dressings, a key category for treating recalcitrant wounds, offer multiple advantages; however, comparative data on their benefits are sparse.

Fangchinoline is identified as a small‐molecule DNGR‐1 modulator that enhances dendritic‐cell cross‐presentation of tumor antigens. By engaging DNGR‐1 and activating Syk–Nox2 signaling, it promotes phagosomal ROS, antigen escape, MHC‐I presentation, and CD8+ T‐cell priming, thereby strengthening antitumor immunity and sensitizing tumors to PD‐1 ...

Spatiotemporal Targeting Randle Cycle and Immune Checkpoint for Potent Antitumor Therapy
A glucose oxidase‐based nanogel (GOX‐NG) system using catechol‐functionalized alginate, exhibits enhanced tumor penetration, prolonged retention, and sustained glucose depletion in the tumor microenvironment. When combined with a fatty acid oxidation inhibitor, it implements dual metabolic suppression, thereby enhancing ROS‐induced immunogenic cell ...

The authors develop a deep learning model for real‐time tracking of wound progression. The deep learning framework maps the nonlinear evolution of a time series of images to a latent space, where they learn a linear representation of the dynamics. The linear model is interpretable and suitable for applications in feedback control.

The impact of C‐3 fluorination on the synthesis and conformation of alginate oligosaccharides is investigated. A C‐3‐fluoro mannuronic acid building block is generated and shown to react with high β‐selectivity. Automated glycan assembly enables access to uniquely fluorinated mannuronic acid alginates where deoxyfluorination is shown not to perturb the
