Large deformation of isotropic biological tissue
Journal of Biomechanics, 1972Abstract The requirements for the development of a general potential function describing the behavior of homogeneous, isotropic biological tissue are discussed and such a function is proposed. It is shown that this function yields both tensile and torsional results compatible with existing data.
