Synthesis biolubricant from rubber seed oil
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2017The objective was biolubricant preparation from rubber seed oil (RSO) using polymerization reactor with/without catalyst in batch reactor. Before become reactant in polymerization reaction, a non-edible rubber seed oil was converted into methyl ester by esterification/tranesterification reaction with methanol and acid/base catalyst.

Diesel biolubricants - synthesis and characterisation
2023Over the past decade, regulations have been changed to reduce the environmental impact of diesel fuel reducing the content of sulphur and aromatics. This has resulted in a deterioration of low-temperature properties and lubricity. Also more attention has been given to renewability of the products to lessen the impact on the environment.

Production of Biolubricant From Castor Oil
SPE Nigeria Annual International Conference and Exhibition, 2017Abstract In this research, bio-lubricant was produced from castor oil in two stage processes where methyl ester of the oil was produced by esterification and then transesterified using homogenous catalyst (NaOH). It was then blended with 15w/w% of Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS) to produce bio-lubricant.

Superior Biolubricant from a Species of Red Microalga
Langmuir, 2006The rheological properties of the sulfated polysaccharide of the red microalga Porphyridium sp., a heteropolymer with a molecular weight of 3-5 x 10(6) Da, indicated that this material might be an excellent candidate for lubrication applications: the viscosity of the polysaccharide is stable over a range of temperatures, pH values, and salinities.

Biolubricants science and technology
2012The book: - is a comprehensive, interdisciplinary and timely review of bio-based lubricant formulations - addresses the principles of lubrication - reviews fossil and bio-based feedstock resources for biodegradable lubricants - describes catalytic, (bio)chemical functionalisation processes - considers markets for biolubricants, issues to consider in ...

Rheology of Karanja (Pongamia) Oil Based Biolubricant
2017Rheology is the science of flow and deformation of liquids and semi-solid materials under the effect of an applied force. Rheological characterization of lubricating oils is important to predict their flow behaviour in each stage starting from preparation to processing up to application.
