MoO2‐Mediated Ni─Fe Bond Contraction and Electronic Modulation in Ni3Fe Alloy for Efficient Water Electrolysis at High‐Current‐Densities

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
MoO2 effectively modulates the electronic structure of Ni3Fe and optimizes the Ni─Fe bonding configuration, thereby enabling dual regulation of the Volmer‐Heyrovsky steps and the evolution pathways of reaction intermediates during the water electrolysis process, which collectively accelerates both the hydrogen evolution reaction and oxygen evolution ...

Aqueously Upcycled Lignin with Emergent Tribonegativity for Skin‐Integrated Triboelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueously upcycled lignin is transformed into a printable ink that self‐assembles into a nanotextured surface during printing with the highest reported biopolymer‐based tribonegativity. The resulting skin‐integrated triboelectric sensor enables high‐fidelity cardiovascular monitoring and objective mental workload classification, demonstrating a ...

The Vegan Villain Sets Out to The End of Summer: Functionalized Coatings as Biohybrid UV‐Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
This study introduces biohybrid coatings incorporating E. coli biomass expressing photoconvertible fluorescent proteins as UV‐A responsive elements. Upon irradiation at 400 nm, the coatings exhibit an irreversible fluorescence shift from green to red within 15 min. Notably, the photoconversion capability is retained after >1 year of storage.

RAMUS: Printable, Mechanically‐Tunable and Biodegradable Cellulose‐Mediated Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Ramus, a Latin term meaning “branch,” develops large‐scale, ambient conditions additively manufactured, and biodegradable cellulose‐based biomaterial composites able to mediate their structural capacity from micro to macroscale. Abstract Ramus develops large‐scale, ambient conditions additively manufactured, and biodegradable cellulose‐based ...
