Water‐Stable Paper‐Based Laser‐Induced Graphene With Asymmetric Water Adhesion and Wettability
Paper‐based electronics are attractive for sustainable and disposable devices, but often fail in wet environments. By introducing Parafilm into cellulose paper combined with laser conversion, two graphene surfaces with different water interactions are created.

Pattern Formation in Non‐Equilibrium Architected Materials
This article demonstrates an artificial mechanical system ‐ a robotic metamaterial ‐ as an accessible and versatile platform within which to explore and prescribe the reaction‐diffusion driven pattern formation hitherto associated with comparatively less accessible and versatile non‐equilibrium biological and chemical systems.

A trait-based model to describe plant community dynamics in managed grasslands (GrasslandTraitSim.jl v1.0.0) [PDF]
Temperate semi-natural grassland plant communities are expected to shift under global change, mainly due to land use and climate change. However, the interaction of different drivers on diversity and the influence of diversity on the provision of ...

A Cognitive Model of an Epistemic Community: Mapping the Dynamics of Shallow Lake Ecosystems [PDF]
We used fuzzy cognitive mapping (FCM) to develop a generic shallow lake ecosystem model by augmenting the individual cognitive maps drawn by 8 scientists working in the area of shallow lake ecology.

Parallel wiring of bioelectrochemical devices with conventional generators unexpectedly boosts output. A biophotovoltaic paired with a solar cell delivers up to 50% more power at low loads than their separate contributions; a plant microbial fuel cell shows similar current gains.

Drought Stress and its Effect on Amazonian forest Dynamics Model Projections
The large diversity of tree species of tropical moist forests relative to temperate zones and their biomass storage capacity and how these are maintained over extended periods of time have been subjects of particular interest.

ABSTRACT Quantifying oral polymorphonuclear neutrophils (oPMNs) is a clinically validated approach for assessing periodontal inflammation. However, current methods, such as manual hemocytometry and flow cytometry, are time‐consuming (>3 h), require invasive sampling, and depend on staining and complex instrumentation, making them unsuitable for point ...

Coexistence and Survival in Conservative Lotka-Volterra Networks [PDF]
Analyzing coexistence and survival scenarios of Lotka-Volterra (LV) networks in which the total biomass is conserved is of vital importance for the characterization of long-term dynamics of ecological communities.
