Biomass Partitioning in Tomato Plants Infected with Meloidogyne incognita.
Tomato plants were inoculated with Meloidogyne incognita at initial populations (Pi) of 0, 1, 10, 50, 100, and 200 (x 1,000) eggs per plant and maintained in a growth chamber for 40 days. Total fresh biomass (roots + shoots) at harvest was unchanged by nematode inoculation with Pi of 1 x 10 eggs or less. Reductions in fresh shoot weight with increasing

Bio‐based gel polymer electrolytes promise sustainable, mechanically adaptable zinc–air batteries, yet their progress is constrained by inconsistent characterization. This review critically links formulation, structure, interfaces, and cell performance, identifies methodological gaps under alkaline operating conditions, and proposes application ...

ABSTRACT The US hemp market is a new and nascent industry that has been devoid of research for about half a century. This study examined the effects of exogenous shock on price at each phase of the value chain—Farm (hemp biomass), and its impact on prices at other phases of the value chain—Intermediary Processor (crude cannabidiol hemp) and Final ...

Reusable Polyphenol Building Blocks Enable Recyclable Epoxy‐Amine Thermosets via Methanolysis
A biobased epoxy–amine platform was developed using functional building blocks derived from polyphenols. These thermosets exhibited tunable mechanical and thermal properties, together with efficient, catalyst‐free chemical recycling via methanolysis. Beyond the recovery of reusable building blocks, the recycled polyols could be further upcycled into ...

Cost‐Benefit Analysis of the European Union Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism in Fertilizer Trade
ABSTRACT The carbon border adjustment mechanism (CBAM), launching 2026, will charge EU importers for embedded carbon emissions, aiming to reduce emissions but raising import costs. Shifts in demand following implementation may reduce carbon emissions, but importers will bear the cost of increased prices.

A photocontrolled RAFT strategy enables the alternating copolymerization of 1,3‐disubstituted bicyclo[1.1.0]butanes with electron‐deficient comonomers, affording well‐defined copolymers bearing strained cyclobutane backbones. A high degree of alternation, tunable molecular weights, and excellent end‐group fidelity are achieved through a CTA‐mediated ...

Cost Pass‐Through in Crisis: Evidence From the German Malt‐Beer Supply Chain
Abstract Global agri‐food supply chains are increasingly exposed to geopolitical shocks, climate volatility, and market consolidation, factors that disrupt traditional price relationships and reshape market power dynamics. Nowhere is this more visible than in the brewing sector, where agricultural raw materials meet complex industrial processing and ...

Abstract Preserving ecosystem services, along with economic and environmental benefits, will require future landscape policies to identify and incorporate relevant landscape features. In this paper, we investigate the causal effect of agricultural landscape simplification on drought‐related grassland damages.
