[Carpal model and biomechanics].

Chirurgie de la main, 2008
Carpal morphology and orientation of carpal bones are usually studied on two-plane radiography. Those measurements depend on the incidence of X-ray and on the expertise of physician. A method that eliminates both should improve the accuracy of those measurements. The digital data from computed tomography scans can be use to describe carpal geometry. We

Biomechanics Modeling and Concepts

1984
The scientific field of Biomechanics is based upon one of the oldest fields of classical physics, that of Newtonian mechanics, which dates back to the 1600’s. Mechanics is the study of forces, motions, and rates of motion and of their effects upon materials: Biomechanics is the application of these studies to biological materials and systems.

Wear Modelling in Biomechanics

2012
The aim of this article is to present a wear modelling in dynamic and large strains applications. The model is based on the Archard’s law and coupled with contact and friction conditions. A numerical treatment is proposed and developed in this paper. The solver is a non linear Gauss Seidel algorithm adapted to wear conditions.
