Single-Transducer Electrode Design for Beam Shaping in Biomedical Ultrasound

IEEE Transactions on Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control, 1986
Abstruct-Single-electrode single-frequency continuous-wave transducers (radius 1.9 cm, frequency 1.7 or 1.75 MHz) were developed for producing desired circularly symmetric lateral intensity profiles at specified axial distances in water. The methods can be used to produce a variety of intensity profiles.
