Electron cryomicroscopy as a powerful tool in biomedical research [PDF]
A human cell is a precisely regulated system that relies on the complex interaction of molecules. Structural insights into the cellular machinery at the atomic level allow us to understand the underlying regulatory mechanism and provide us with a roadmap for the development of novel drugs to fight diseases.

Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

Hot‐Film and Calorimetric Methods With Transient Heating for Measurement of High Biofluid Flow Rate
Accurate measurement of biofluid flow rate is vital for clinical diagnostics. We propose a transient heating strategy using short thermal pulses and peak temperature tracking to enhance the flow sensitivity of the hot‐Film and calorimetric methods. Simulations show how optimal heating time maximizes sensitivity across flow rates.

From Food to Power: Hydrogel Thermoelectrics for Ingestible Electronics
We introduce a fully edible thermoelectric–electrochromic platform that harvests heat from food and converts it into a visible color change. N‐type and p‐type hydrogel thermoelectric generators connected in series power anthocyanin‐based electrochromic displays, demonstrating the feasibility of safe, biodegradable, ingestible systems for on‐food ...

Development of Electronic-Nose Technologies for Biomedical Applications
In this paper the development of an electronic nose for biomedical applications is reported. The key concept guiding the development of the analyzer has been the portability, its easy use, and interface with the patient and hospital facilities. With this in mind, a small analyzer with an e-nose, comprising commercial gas sensors and a breath sampling ...

We propose a suture‐complementary approach that integrates optical skin clearing with a strain‐programmable luminescent adhesive patch. Hyaluronic acid promotes transdermal delivery of tartrazine to improve optical clearing and stabilizes its interaction with a photosensitizer. Optical clearing increases the penetration depth of visible light into skin,
