Fusion of various optimisation based feature smoothing methods for wearable and non‐invasive blood glucose estimation

open access: yesIET Systems Biology, 2023
The traditional blood glucose estimation method requires to take the invasive measurements several times a day. Therefore, it has a high infection risk and the users are suffered from the pain. Moreover, the long term consumable cost is high.

Accuracy Verification of an Anatomical Model Manufactured Using Low-Cost Additive Production

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2021
The paper deals with the separation of the third cervical vertebra using the software VGStudio MAX, Mimics, and inVesalius. During the separation, various parameters of the threshold were used to determine the effect. The comparison of models from Mimics

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Proof of Concept for an Intracochlear Acoustic Receiver for Use in Acute Large Animal Experiments

open access: yesSensors, 2018
(1) Background: The measurement of intracochlear sound pressure (ICSP) is relevant to obtain better understanding of the biomechanics of hearing. The goal of this work was a proof of concept of a partially implantable intracochlear acoustic receiver ...

Comparison of Classification Algorithms for Detecting Patient Posture in Expandable Tumor Prostheses

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Computer Engineering, 2020
Autonomous tumor prostheses are extended without the need of a clinic and of a medical supervision. It is necessary to make sure that the patient is not standing before extending these prostheses. This study aims to determine the posture of the patient
