Epi‐growth of the {010} form of polar brushite (CaHPO4·2H2O) on the {010} form of non‐polar gypsum (CaSO4·2H2O) is described. The mechanisms of crystal growth from solution are more complicated than those from vapor or melt growth. These mechanisms are important in biomineralization (bones, teeth, shells) and in the characterization of optically non ...

Human H ferritin (HuHf) is a nanocarrier for anticancer metal drugs. By cryo‐EM, a 1.51 Å structure of its adduct with Au(NHC)Cl was solved, showing a novel tetranuclear gold(I) cluster bound to Cys90 and Cys102. Short inter‐metal distances indicate aurophilic interactions.

Abstract The class Bolidophyceae, which consists of small phytoplankton distributed worldwide, is the sister group of diatoms. This class has contained only one order, the Parmales, until now. In this study, we established a new order Lepidoparmales Kamakura & S.Sato ord. nov. and a new family Lepidoparmaceae Kamakura & S.Sato fam.
