2014 International Symposium on Micro-NanoMechatronics and Human Science (MHS), 2014
We present a simulation study of gliding assays of cytoskeletal filaments and their associated motor proteins. The gliding assays serve as a basis of applications of motor proteins for nanotechnology. For example, cargo-loading cytoskeletal filaments propelled by the associated motor proteins, which is so-called molecular shuttles (MSs), can be ...

Remote Sensing of Selected Biophysical Variables and Urban/Suburban Phenomena
2004Remote sensing science may be used to provide spatially distributed information for a significant number of models and applications. Information is extracted from remotely sensed data using the remote sensing process, which includes stating the problem, data collection (in situ and remote sensing), data-to-information conversion, and information ...

The Biophysics at Death: Three Hypotheses With Potential Application to Paranormal Phenomena
NeuroQuantology, 2011Major explanations for the potential physical changes at death are explored quantitatively. MacDougall’s weight loss measurements of dying patients are examined as an artifact of respiratory burst phenomena and as a potential variant of entanglement.

The mathematical biophysics of some mental phenomena
The Bulletin of Mathematical Biophysics, 1945In this paper some aspects of the mathematical biophysics of the central nervous system, which hitherto have not been treated, are discussed. First, a neurobiophysical mechanism for consciousness is suggested. It provides for the possibility of conscious and unconscious rractions.

The mathematical biophysics of some mental phenomena: II. Anxieties and elations
The Bulletin of Mathematical Biophysics, 1946A neural mechanism is discussed which explains certain states of anxieties, in which an individual is worried about things which may be possible, but are exceedingly improbable. Certain quantitative relations are derived.Mutatis mutandis similar considerations apply to some states of elations. An application to certain types of paranoia is discussed.

During the last few years, using the ultra-feeble cold luminescence signal of the body surface as an indicator, we had previously characterized quantitatively the dominant propagated sensation along the classical channels and the regulatory effects of acupuncture on human body.
