Resistance of Tomato Subsamples to Bemisia tabaci Biotype B (Genn.) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae)

open access: yesAgronomy Journal, Volume 103, Issue 6, Page 1849-1861, November 2011., 2011
Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci) causes damage to tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) and is controlled by insecticides harmful to man and the environment. Development of resistant cultivars is ideal for whitefly management, with alternate genetic sources being indispensable. Germplasm banks are potentially good sources of resistant cultivars.
