Catalytic Pyrolysis of Sinapic Acid on Nanoceria: Surface Complexes, Valorization of Products, Experimental, and Atomistic Approaches

Sinapic acid interacts with nanoceria through its carboxyl and aromatic groups, forming parallel and perpendicular surface complexes whose orientation depends on acid concentration and governs the kinetics and activation energy of forming valuable pyrolysis products—canolol, phenols, and other platform aromatics.
