Vibrio alginolyticus NBRC 15630, Vibrio parahaemolyticus ATCC 17802, Shewanella algae DW01, and Shewanella algae ATCC 51192 bacterial strains were found in the Mud crab brood and egg samples. All isolates were found to be sensitive to cefotaxime, chloramphenicol, gentamicin, and nitrofurantoin antibiotics.

Uncovering Putative Bacterial Pathogens in Lakes in Aotearoa New Zealand Using Environmental DNA
Aquatic diseases threaten ecological, social, cultural and economic values. An eDNA survey of 287 lakes in Aotearoa New Zealand detected 412 potential pathogens. Key drivers of putative pathogen presence included high‐productivity exotic grassland and elevated nutrient levels.

Protected areas face growing pressure from invasive alien plant species (IAPS), whose distribution differs across dispersal corridors. This study reveals that road verges and riversides were the most heavily invaded areas (70% of recorded species), with Chromolaena odorata being the most dominant IAPS.
