Biochemical Responses of Anopheles spp. Larvae to a Novel Brazilian BR101 Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis Formulation: Oxidative Stress, Detoxification Enzymes, and Safety for Nontarget Notonectidae and Gerridae Aquatic Insects

Bti BR101 exhibits strong larvicidal activity against Anopheles larvae spp., with dose‐dependent mortality and LC50 of 3.13 µg/mL. Bti increases ROS, lipid and protein oxidation, and activates antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, GPx) and detoxification pathways (MFO and esterases), indicating moderate oxidative stress.

The Gut Microbiota as a Mediator in the Relationship Between Dietary Patterns and Depression

Healthy dietary patterns are associated with gut microbial genera linked to lower depressive symptoms. In 644 older adults from the PREDIMED‐Plus cohort, 16S rRNA sequencing and dietary scoring revealed that taxa associated with a better diet quality were also more abundant in individuals with fewer depressive symptoms.

The combination of bicyclic monoterpene‐ and pyrrolidine‐alkaloid fragments yields novel pseudo‐natural products. Biological characterization revealed that these iDegs are inhibitors and degraders of indoleamine‐2,3‐dioxygenase. Abstract Terpenoid alkaloids are derived from the fusion of structurally diverse terpenoid‐ and alkaloid moieties.
