Single‐Cell Transcriptomics Reveals FLS2‐Dependent Hypoxia Signaling and ERF13‐Mediated Transcription During flg22‐Triggered Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study employs sc‐RNA sequencing, genetics, and phenotyping to systematically map the cell‐type‐specific immune responses triggered by flg22. It reveals FLS2‐dependent transcriptional reprogramming in epidermal and mesophyll cells, and uncovers crosstalk between immune and hypoxia signaling pathways.

Understanding the dynamic interactions of root-knot nematodes and their host: role of plant growth promoting bacteria and abiotic factors

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
Root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp., RKN) are among the most destructive endoparasitic nematodes worldwide, often leading to a reduction of crop growth and yield.

Genome‐Wide Association Study Reveals Insect Genetics and Microbial Symbiont Effects on Susceptibility of Diaphorina citri to the Citrus Greening Pathogen, Candidatus Liberibacter Asiaticus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates the genetic and microbial factors influencing the susceptibility of Diaphorina citri to the citrus greening pathogen Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus (CLas), employing a microbiome Genome Wide Association Study. The research identifies a key gene encoding an MFS‐type transporter contributing to CLas infectivity and abundance in

Coupled Above‐ and Belowground Ecosystem Stability Worldwide

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Are the worlds above and below our feet in sync? This global exploration reveals an entangled fate between above‐ and belowground ecosystem stability. It identifies arid regions as hotspots for this coupling and highlights temperature stability as a vital safeguard for maintaining ecosystem balance across our warming planet.

Growth Process and Mortality of Sasa borealis Seedlings over Six Years Following Mass Flowering and Factors Influencing Them

open access: yesBiology
The sexual reproduction of Sasa borealis, a species of dwarf bamboo, occurred in central Japan from 2016 to 2017. S. borealis grows on the forest floor and serves as an important source of habitat and food for various animals.

Not only climate: The importance of biotic interactions in shaping species distributions at macro scales

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, 2023
Abiotic factors are usually considered key drivers of species distribution at macro scales, while biotic interactions are mostly used at local scales.

Ticks (Acari: Ixodidae) infesting cattle in three northeastern Algeria regions during the summer season

open access: yesBulgarian Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Hard ticks are ectoparasites and vectors of many pathogens. Studies on hard ticks in cattle have rarely been conducted in northeastern Algeria. This study aimed to estimate the infestation rate, distribution, and biological diversity of hard tick species

Seedling survival mechanism of a deciduous broad-leaved forest in the sub-tropical to temperate transition zone in the Qinling Mountains

open access: yesXibei zhiwu xuebao
[Objective] Survival of species seedlings is closely related to various biotic and abiotic factors. Exploring the key factors affecting seedling survival is helpful for the understanding of species coexistence mechanisms.
