Detection of Biotic or Abiotic Stress in Vineyards Using Thermal and RGB Images Captured via IoT Sensors

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
The abiotic and biotic plant stress is a critical factor for the agriculture industry, considering that plant stress increases production costs and reduces the quantity and quality of the output product.

Condition‐Associated Pattern Extraction and Recovery From Multi‐Condition Single‐Cell RNA‐seq Data With CAPER

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Decoupling biological signals from unwanted variation in multi‑condition single‑cell RNA sequencing data remains challenging. CAPER disentangles condition‑associated biological effects from sample heterogeneity through matrix factorization, producing interpretable latent factors and a batch‑corrected expression matrix.

Diversity and similarity of trophic system "Barn Owl - terrestrial mammals" in the volcanic districts of Latium (Italy) / Diversità ed affinità dei sistemi trofici "<em>Tyto alba</em> - mammiferi terragnoli" nei comprensori vulcanici del Lazio

open access: yesHystrix, the Italian Journal of Mammalogy, 1987
<strong>Abstract</strong> Bony remains of about ten thousands small terrestrial mammals preyed by Barn Owl in six volcanic districts of Latium were examined and relevant biocoenotic parameters (such as biotic diversity, thermoxerophily index,

Transposable Element–Driven PIEZO Mutation Enhances Locust Flight in Plateau Hypoxia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Why transposable elements (TEs) persisted or expanded in genomes remains a mystery. Using integrated analysis of TE macro‐ and microevolution in locusts, our results showed that thousands of TE insertions promoted widespread adaptive variation. Subfamilies of candidate adaptive TEs amplified and reshaped species‐level genomic architecture.

Genome-Wide Identification of bHLH Transcription Factor Family in Malus sieversii and Functional Exploration of MsbHLH155.1 Gene under Valsa Canker Infection

open access: yesPlants, 2023
Xinjiang wild apple (Malus sieversii) is an ancient relic; a plant with abundant genetic diversity and disease resistance. Several transcription factors were studied in response to different biotic and abiotic stresses on the wild apple. Basic/helix–loop–
