ABSTRACT Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a debilitating neurodegenerative condition characterized by progressive cognitive impairment, memory deterioration, and neuronal dysfunction. Its complex pathophysiology involves multiple interlinked processes, including amyloid‐β (Aβ) aggregation, tau hyperphosphorylation, oxidative stress, neuroinflammation ...

Implications of Maternal Toxicant Effects on Size‐Dependent Fisheries' Management: A Meta‐Analysis
Larger, older fish transfer higher mercury and PCB concentrations to their eggs, significantly reducing offspring hatching success, survival and growth rates in contaminated aquatic ecosystems. These findings suggest that the reproductive benefits of big old fat fecund female fish may be compromised by maternal toxicant transfer in polluted waters ...

Cyclic diaryliodonium salts engage aryl Grignard reagents to trigger a self‐propagating aryne–arylation cycle. Transient cyclic triaryliodanes serve as aryne precursors and dynamic aryl reservoirs, delivering iodine‐capped teraryls with predominant meta‐selectivity. The preserved C─I bond enables outward π‐extension or inward recyclization.

Redox‐active guanidines, comprising guanidino‐functionalized aromatics (GFAs) and redox‐active urea azines (RAAs), are electron donors and strong Lewis and Brønsted bases that are used in several applications. They act as redox‐active ligands in bistable coordination compounds and as reagents in dehydrogenative coupling reactions and proton‐coupled ...

Synthesis and Reactivity of Extremely Electron‐Poor Au(III) Complexes Bearing OTf− or NTf2− Ligands
A new family of electron‐poor Au(III) cations bearing bistriflimide or triflate ligands is reported. These cations can undergo direct C─H metalation with simple arenes to give mono‐aryl cations. Subsequent addition of simple halide sources allows for reductive elimination of aryl halides, formally from Ar─H and X−. ABSTRACT The synthesis and structural

This study presents the synthesis and binding properties of a new family of o‐terphenyl‐based macrocycles, TP[n] (n = 2‐8). The trimer variant efficiently binds phenylalanine in water with a 10‐fold selectivity compared to other amino acids and aromatic neurotransmitters.
