Real‐Time 3D Ultrasound Imaging with an Ultra‐Sparse, Low Power Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a novel, ultra‐sparse ultrasound architecture that paves the way for wearable real‐time 3D imaging. By integrating a unique convolutional array with chirped data acquisition, the system achieves high‐resolution volumetric scans at a fraction of the power and hardware complexity.

Space/Interface Charge Analysis of the Multi-Layer Oil Gap and Oil Impregnated Pressboard Under the Electrical-Thermal Combined Stress

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
In oil-paper insulation systems, it is easy to accumulate space/interface charge under a direct current (DC) electrical field. At present, direct measurement of space/interface charge for a thick multi-layer insulation system is not possible.

Transport property analysis method for thermoelectric materials: material quality factor and the effective mass model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Thermoelectric semiconducting materials are often evaluated by their figure-of-merit, zT. However, by using zT as the metric for showing improvements, it is not immediately clear whether the improvement is from an enhancement of the inherent material ...
