Electronic Spin Transport in Dual-Gated Bilayer Graphene

open access: yes, 2016
The elimination of extrinsic sources of spin relaxation is key in realizing the exceptional intrinsic spin transport performance of graphene. Towards this, we study charge and spin transport in bilayer graphene-based spin valve devices fabricated in a ...

Manipulating quantum Hall edge channels in graphene through Scanning Gate Microscopy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
We show evidence of the backscattering of quantum Hall edge channels in a narrow graphene Hall bar, induced by the gating effect of the conducting tip of a Scanning Gate Microscope, which we can position with nanometer precision.

Long-time self-similar asymptotic of the macroscopic quantum models

open access: yes, 2008
The unipolar and bipolar macroscopic quantum models derived recently for instance in the area of charge transport are considered in spatial one-dimensional whole space in the present paper.

Numerical Analysis of Space Charge Behavior and Transient Electric Field under Polarity Reversal of HVDC Extruded Cable

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
The superimposed transient electric field generated by polarity reversal causes severe stress to the high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable insulation.

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Space Charge Accumulation Characteristics in HVDC Cable under Temperature Gradient

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
One of the main issues that affect the development of high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) cable insulation is the accumulation of space charge. The load operation of an HVDC cable leads to the formation of a radially distributed temperature gradient (TG ...

Study on the Partial Surface Discharge Process of Oil-Paper Insulated Transformer Bushing with Defective Condenser Layer

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Oil-impregnated paper condenser transformer bushings are an important part of transformer equipment, and partial discharge (PD) occurred when defects exist on the condenser aluminum foil layers. Firstly, to study the PD process of the oil-paper insulated

Contact resistance and shot noise in graphene transistors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Potential steps naturally develop in graphene near metallic contacts. We investigate the influence of these steps on the transport in graphene Field Effect Transistors.

Ferrocene Derivatives Enable Ultrasensitive Perovskite Photodetectors with Enhanced Reverse Bias Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Prospects of Electric Field Control in Perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions and Emerging 2D Spintronics for Ultralow Energy Memory and Logic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electric control of magnetic tunnel junctions offers a path to drastically reduce the energy requirements of the device. Electric field control of magnetization can be realized in a multitude of ways. These mechanisms can be integrated into existing spintronic devices to further reduce the operational energy.
