2-D Directed Formation Control Based on Bipolar Coordinates [PDF]

open access: greenIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2022
This work proposes a novel 2-D formation control scheme for acyclic triangulated directed graphs (a class of minimally acyclic persistent graphs) based on bipolar coordinates with (almost) global convergence to the desired shape. Prescribed performance control is employed to devise a decentralized control law that avoids singularities and introduces ...

Light-evoked glutamate transporter EAAT5 activation coordinates with conventional feedback inhibition to control rod bipolar cell output

open access: greenJournal of Neurophysiology, 2020
Excitatory amino acid transporter 5 (EAAT5) glutamate transporters have a chloride channel that is strongly activated by glutamate, which modulates excitatory signaling. We found that EAAT5 is a major contributor to feedback inhibition on rod bipolar cells. Inhibition to rod bipolar cells is also mediated by GABA and glycine.

Conformal mapping and bipolar coordinate for eccentric Laplace problems [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Applications in Engineering Education, 2009
AbstractBoundary value problems on the eccentric annulus are quite complex and cannot directly be solved analytically using cartesian or polar coordinates. Many mathematical techniques have been used to solve such a problem by using conformal mapping and bipolar coordinate.

Judgement of abstract paintings [PDF]

open access: yesPsihologija, 2006
In two experiments the judgement of twenty one abstract paintings was investigated. In Experiment 1, subjects were asked to make similarity judgements of 210 pairs of paintings on a 7 step bipolar scale (similar-dissimilar). The Multi-dimensional scaling

Submergence of magnetic flux in interaction of sunspot groups [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
Submergence of magnetic flux is demonstrated in the process of evolution of sunspot groups NOAA 6850 (26 Sep.-07 Oct. 1991) and 7220/22 (06-17 July 1992). In both cases new magnetic flux emerges immediately behind an existing spotgroup. The new flux does

Bipolar HII regions - Morphology and star formation in their vicinity - I - G319.88$+$00.79 and G010.32$-$00.15 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Our goal is to identify bipolar HII regions and to understand their morphology, their evolution, and the role they play in the formation of new generations of stars. We use the Spitzer and Herschel Hi-GAL surveys to identify bipolar HII regions.

Low‐operation voltage conductive‐bridge random access memory based on amorphous NbS2

open access: yesSmart Molecules, 2023
Amorphous NbS2 was proposed as the resistive switching (RS) layer for conductive‐bridge random access memory (CBRAM) for the first time, with Cu and Au as the top and bottom electrodes, respectively.

Organic–Inorganic Hybrid Device with a Novel Deep-Blue Emitter of a Donor–Acceptor Type, with ZnO Nanoparticles for Solution-Processed OLEDs

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
Two new deep-blue emitters with bipolar properties based on an organoboron acceptor and carbazole donor were newly synthesized: 2-(9H-carbazol-9-yl)-5-(2,12-di-tert-butyl-5,9-dioxa-13b-boranaphtho [3,2,1-de]anthracen-7-yl)-5H-benzo[b]carbazole (TDBA-BCZ)
