Nanostructured Cu2O Synthesized via Bipolar Electrochemistry. [PDF]
Cuprous oxide (Cu2O) was synthesized for the first time via an open bipolar electrochemistry (BPE) approach and characterized in parallel with the commercially available material. As compared to the reference, Cu2O formed through a BPE reaction demonstrated a decrease in particle size; an increase in photocurrent; more efficient light scavenging; and ...

ZnO Synthesized Using Bipolar Electrochemistry: Structure and Activity. [PDF]
The photoactive materials broadly applied in catalysis and energy conversion are generally composed of metal oxides. Among these oxides, ZnO showed a promising photocatalytic activity; however, traditional synthetic routes generated by-products and large amounts of secondary waste.

Paper-Based Bipolar Electrochemistry [PDF]
We demonstrate that carbon electrodes screen-printed directly on cellulose paper can be employed to perform bipolar electrochemistry. In addition, an array of 18 screen-printed bipolar electrodes (BPEs) can be simultaneously controlled using a single pair of driving electrodes.

A novel high throughput electrochemistry corrosion test method: Bipolar electrochemistry
Bipolar electrochemistry is a relatively novel screening method used to study the corrosion performance of metals under a wide range of applied potentials. Pitting corrosion that occurs in regions exposed to high anodic potentials on the bipolar electrode are researched.

Fabrication of TiO2 nanotubes on Ti spheres using bipolar electrochemistry
In this work, the anodization of Ti spheres using bipolar electrochemistry is reported for the first time. TiO2 nanotubes were found over the entire surface area of the Ti spheres when a square-wave potential was employed.
