Sustainable Strategies for the Recycling of Sodium‐Ion Battery Cathodes Using Organic Acids

open access: yesBattery Energy, Volume 5, Issue 2, March 2026.
This study introduces a novel sustainable hydrometallurgical process for recycling SIB cathodes. Optimized citric acid leaching exceeds the EU Ni recovery target. Subsequent oxalic acid precipitation selectively retrieves Ni and Mn, forming a Mn–Ni oxalate precursor for SIB cathode regeneration.

High Efficiency and Low Roll‐Off Blue and White Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes Enabled by Pyrene‐Based Blue Emitters via Efficient Triplet–Triplet Annihilation

open access: yesChemistryEurope, Volume 4, Issue 3, March 2026.
Four pyrene‐core fluorescent blue emitters were investigated. By utilizing the triplet–triplet annihilation (TTA) properties of anthracene‐based hosts, high‐performance blue organic light‐emitting diodes and white organic light‐emitting diodes were achieved, which exhibited high efficiency, low roll‐off and high‐quality EL spectra.

RETRACTED: Can the chemical industry solve the climate change? On the role of human energy production, renewable energies, and the potential of chemistry as a solution provider

open access: yesChemie Ingenieur Technik, Volume 98, Issue 3, Page 98-105, March 2026.
Let us consider an alternative perspective on climate change: The sum of solar radiation and heat generated by human activity result in a net energy input of 1.96 times that of the Sun on the Earth's surface. The expanding global population is expected to exacerbate this issue. Potential solutions are proposed, including replacement and heat recycling.
