Alternating current-bipolar electrochemistry
Abstract Rotation of a bipolar electrode in a constant electric field between feeder electrodes causes an alternating bipolar current at an AC frequency that depends on the rotation rate. The corresponding oscillation of the feeder current is evaluated by means of a lock-in amplifier.

Real-time monitoring of proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack failure [PDF]
Uneven pressure drops in a 75-cell 9.5-kWe proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack with a U-shaped flow configuration have been shown to cause localised flooding.

Pit growth kinetics of additively manufactured MoNi over-alloyed type 316L stainless steel
The microstructure and corrosion performance of wrought, laser powder bed fusion (LPBF), and MoNi over-alloyed LPBF type 316L stainless steel is compared. Adding Mo and Ni to LPBF 316L stainless steel resulted in ẟ-ferrite.

Recent Advances in Bipolar Electrochemistry with Conducting Polymers
AbstractConducting polymers have been extensively studied due to their potential applications ranging from sensing to energy storage, and environmental remediation. They can be easily generated by electrosynthesis and have also very interesting electrochemical features, which have been mostly examined with classic electrochemical approaches.

Closed bipolar electrodes for spatial separation of H2 and O2 evolution during water electrolysis and the development of high-voltage fuel cells [PDF]
Electrolytic water splitting could potentially provide clean H2 for a future ‘Hydrogen Economy.’ However, as H2 and O2 are produced in close proximity to each other in water electrolysers, mixing of the gases can occur during electrolysis, with ...

Corrosion electrochemistry with a segmented array bipolar electrode
Bipolar electrochemistry was applied to determine the full spectrum of anodic-to-cathodic polarisation behaviour of stainless steel. The potential and current distributions at the sample surface were determined using a segmented array bipolar electrode (BPE).

Local Electrochemical Measurements in Bipolar Experiments for Corrosion Studies [PDF]
In this work, the local potential and local current were measured with paired Ag/AgCl reference microelectrodes during the corrosion of a 304L stainless-steel (304L SS) sample in bipolar experiments.

Bioelectrochemistry of Cytochrome c in a closed bipolar electrochemical cell
The reversible oxidation and reduction of Cytochrome c (Cyt c) is demonstrated with a closed bipolar electrochemical cell (CBPEC). Herein, a 4-electrode configuration was studied with the opposite poles of the bipolar electrode resting in separate ...
