Two-step bipolar anodization: Design of titanium with two different faces
In this study, titanium (Ti) with two chemically distinct faces was formed using two-step direct current (DC) bipolar anodization. A Ti sheet was positioned vertically in the center of an electrolytic cell as a bipolar electrode (BPE). The oxidation area

In Situ Study of Resistive Switching in a Nitride‐Based Memristive Device
In situ TEM biasing experiment demonstrates the volatile I‐V characteristic of MIM lamella device. In situ STEM‐EELS Ti L2/L3 ratio maps provide direct evidence of the oxygen vacancies migrations under positive/negative electrical bias, which is critical for revealing the RS mechanism for the MIM lamella device.

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Principles of Bipolar Electrochemistry
AbstractThis is a tutorial on the basic concepts underlying bipolar electrochemistry. It is intended as an accompaniment to ChemElectroChem’s special issue on this topic. The guest editors of this special issue think it is worthwhile to introduce bipolar electrochemistry to a broader (electrochemistry) audience by explaining the similarities and ...

Tin hexathiophosphate memristors leverage intrinsic nanopores together with a guided filament formation strategy to regulate titanium ion motion and switching behavior. The devices support reliable nonvolatile memory and reconfigurable logic‐in‐memory, demonstrating 14 Boolean logic functions in a single cell.
