Birational Automorphisms of Algebraic Varieties with a Pencil of Fano Double Covers
Functional Analysis and Its Applications, 2002The author gives a construction of higher-dimensional complex algebraic varieties with a pencil of Fano double hypersurfaces of index 1. Using the method of maximal singularities he proves that this pencil on a given variety is the unique pencil of divisors that consist of uniruled varieties.
