A MXene‐Based Nanothermal Knife Inhibits Aggresome‐Mediated Persister Formation for Preventing Dental Caries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Early childhood caries (ECC) involves cariogenic persisters that evade antimicrobial treatment. Persisters achieve this by downregulating heat shock proteins (HSPs) and formation of protein aggregates. Ti3C2 MXene‐based photothermal therapy (PTT) acts as a “nanothermal knife,” disrupting membranes, upregulating HSPs, inhibits aggregates, prevents ...

Post-fledging Dependent Behaviour, Dispersion and Migration of Young Eastern Imperial Eagles from Slovakia as Revealed by Satellite Telemetry

open access: yesПернатые хищники и их охрана, 2018
In 2005, five nestling Imperial Eagles (Aquila heliaca) were fitted with battery-powered GPS Satellite Transmitters (PTTs) in Slovakia to study their behaviour after fledging, two of them in the east and the other three in the west of the country.

MoS2 Channel‐Enhanced High‐Density Charge Trap Flash Memory and Machine Learning‐Assisted Sensing Methodologies for Memory‐Centric Computing Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Driven by AI computing demands, this study investigates MoS2 channels for 3D NAND Flash to achieve high‐density, low‐power, and reliable nonvolatile memory. MoS2 enables a large memory window and lower operating voltages with low‐k tunneling layer, demonstrating endurance of 10⁴ cycles and retention of 10⁵ s. Comprehensive analyses and machine learning‐

ChromInSight: Revealing DNA Double‐Strand Breaks Through Chromatin Structural Insights With an Interpretable Graph Neural Network Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DSBs are the most critical genomic lesions. Using the ChromInSight framework, It is revealed that 3D chromatin structure, rather than linear distance, shapes cluster‐scene between hub‐Nodes and DSB loci. The “spatial isolation–damage containment” hypothesis is proposed to illustrate how the genome responds to genomic damage and offer a powerful tool ...

Increased use of intertidal resources benefits breeding success in a generalist gull species [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Determining how resource use impacts on a species’ demography is important, especially in habitats which are being altered by anthropogenic land-use change. If changes result in species consuming resources of reduced quality their demographic traits may

Unveiling the Fundamental Principles of Reconfigurable Resistance States in Silver/Poly(Ethylene Glycol) Nanofluids

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The electrophoretic reorganization of Ag nanoparticles within a poly(ethylene glycol) leads to the formation of conductive bridges with reconfigurable resistance states. Diverse conduction characteristics of the bridge range between ohmic conduction, nonlinear tunneling, or space charge‐limited conduction, and high resistance states.
