Colloidal Behavior of Carbonate Particles Microbially Precipitated in Microfluidic Droplets

In Microbially Induced Calcium Carbonate Precipitation (MICP), ureolytic bacteria trigger calcium carbonate precipitation via pH‐increasing urea hydrolysis. This enzymatically driven reaction induces the colloidal assembly of bacteria and carbonate particles into fractal networks.
