Frontiers of Bright CEP‐Stable Broadband Infrared Sources

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Bright CEP‐stable broadband infrared sources push the limits of ultrafast science by delivering exceptional brightness alongside few‐cycle durations and multi‐octave spectral coverage. This review highlights emerging architectures and nonlinear conversion strategies that scale power while preserving phase stability.

A Fully‐Connected Chip‐Integrated Reconfigurable Mode‐Pairing Quantum Key Distribution Network

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This work constructs a fully connected reconfigurable chip‐integrated quantum key distribution network via the mode‐pairing protocol. Hybrid ECL and WSS chips cut wavelength and port overhead, realizing arbitrary‐user key sharing with merely two wavelengths.

Rotational Anisotropy Raman Spectrometer for High‐Sensitivity Crystallographic Symmetry Analysis

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
We introduce rotational‐anisotropy Raman spectroscopy, an enhanced scheme that overcomes the limitations of traditional polarization‐resolved Raman techniques. This method reveals previously inaccessible phonon symmetries and resolves directional anisotropy of phonon‐polaritons in benchmark crystals, establishing a powerful new tool for characterizing ...

High resolution polarization-independent high-birefringence fiber loop mirror sensor

open access: yesOptics Express, 2015
In this work, two all polarization-maintaining (PM) high-birefringence (Hi-Bi) fiber loop mirrors (FLM) which are immune to external polarization perturbations are validated both theoretically and experimentally. Simplified and stable versions of classical FLMs were attained using a PM-coupler and by fusing the different Hi-Bi fiber sections with an ...

Translating Machine Learning Into Manufacturing Expertise—Actionable Interpretability and Stability for Precision Injection Molding

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, EarlyView.
This research aims to enhance confidence in using AI/ML models and address unpredicted defects occurred during injection molding (IM) through guided machine fine‐tuning. Integrated stability analysis and parallel coordinate visualization coupled with perturbation analysis are presented to augment domain‐specific XAI applications in the IM industry ...

Experimental investigation of the nonlinear optical loop mirror with twisted fiber and birefringence bias

open access: yesOptics Express, 2005
We examine the transmission characteristics of a NOLM device using a symmetrical coupler, highly twisted fiber, and a quarter-wave (QW) retarder plate introducing a polarization asymmetry in the loop. We demonstrate high dynamic range with controllable transmissivity, and good stability over long times. We experimentally study the transmission behavior

Electrically responsive knitted liquid crystal elastomer actuators for underwater applications

open access: yesResponsive Materials, EarlyView.
A knitted liquid crystal elastomer‐liquid metal (LM) actuator enables electrically driven soft robotics in water. Core–shell fibers are melt‐spun, knitted, and infused with LM to combine internal conductivity, external insulation, and programmable textile deformation.

First Insights on Photoreceptor Organ Ultrastructure in Marine Chaetonotida (Gastrotricha): Species of Xenotrichula and Draculiciteria (Xenotrichulidae)

open access: yesActa Zoologica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Marine gastrotrichs inhabit sediments with limited available light, yet evidence suggests that photoreceptor organs are present throughout the phylum Gastrotricha. Here, we confirm this proposition with ultrastructural descriptions of photoreceptive organs in two species of Xenotrichulidae (Order Chaetonotida) that lack pigmented ocelli ...

A description of dental microanatomy and implantation geometry in Chamaeleonidae

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
A reassessment of the dental histology in adult chamaeleons reveals the presence of periodontal ligament. Alongside alveolar bone and cementum, these tissues together constitute a compacted and remodelled tripartite periodontium. Our findings include the novel observation of plicidentine‐like protuberances of dentine within underlying bone.

Effects of Cooling Rates on Self‐Reinforced Polyethylene Composites via Multiscale Experimental Characterizations

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 47, Issue 15, Page 13939-13954, 10 August 2026.
(top) fabrication and multi‐scale characterizations of self‐reinforced polyethylene composites (PE‐SRCs); (bottom) effects of cooling rates on mechanical properties and crystal morphologies of PE‐SRCs. ABSTRACT This study investigates cooling rate effects on self‐reinforced polyethylene composites (PE‐SRCs), focusing on macroscopic thermal and ...
