Graph‐Laplacian modeling of spatiotemporal effects for house price estimation

open access: yesReal Estate Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Many variables involve the modeling of spatial effects, and their dynamics over time. This article presents a linear model in which spatiotemporal random effects are modeled by graph‐Laplacians. A graph‐Laplacian flexibly encodes adjacency in both space and time, in our case not depending on unknown parameters. The graph‐Laplacian can be input

Rethinking Toleration: Wesley, Whitefield and Evangelical Collaboration in the Eighteenth Century

open access: yesJournal for Eighteenth-Century Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract There is a growing body of scholarship on the history of religious toleration; nevertheless, historians have largely treated toleration as a matter of governmental policy and legal principle. This article broadens that account by examining John Wesley and George Whitefield's vision of evangelical unity across denominational lines.

geohabnet: An R package for mapping habitat connectivity for biosecurity and conservation

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract Habitat connectivity is critical for the conservation of endangered and endemic species, and conversely, it can hinder efforts to contain the spread of harmful biological agents. Here, we introduce geohabnet: a general, spatially explicit, network‐based R package for evaluating, estimating and mapping landscape connectivity from continuous ...

Embracing uncertainty in time: A Bayesian dynamic mixing model for isotopic diet estimation

open access: yesMethods in Ecology and Evolution, EarlyView.
Abstract Isotopic mixing models are powerful tools in ecology for estimating diets. Since their initial formulation, these models have evolved into two distinct branches: Bayesian mixing models and dynamic mixing models. Bayesian mixing models significantly improve uncertainty management but remain static assuming a stable state.
