Ultrasound-assisted bisphenol AF degradation using in situ generated hydrogen peroxide
Journal of Environmental ManagementBisphenol AF (BPAF) is degraded through the ultrasound-assisted in situ generation and activation of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) by the copper(II) catalysed oxidation of hydroxylamine (NH2OH) with dioxygen (O2). Compared to added H2O2, in situ generated H2O2 significantly improves the degradation of BPAF from 46.7% to 94.8% in ∼15 min.
