Magnetic Bistability in a Discrete Organic Radical

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2016
Molecular assembly with magnetic bistability has been of considerable interest for application as electronic devices. In contrast to transition-metal complexes, magnetic bistability so far observed in organic radical crystals is mainly caused by ...

Bistable criterion for mechanically bistable mechanism

2012 IEEE 25th International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS), 2012
Based on slope-deflection equations, we theoretically derived a determinant D as a criterion, in terms of structural and material properties, to determine if the bistability can occur for micro mechanically bistable mechanisms. When D 0, bistable phenomenon cannot occur.

BISTABILITY OF DENDRITES

International Journal of Neural Systems, 1991
The theory of the ohmic electric function of dendrites is doubtful. A hypothesis was put forward that non-, partly or slow-accommodating neurons possess a slow inward dendritic current. It was predicted that these dendrites might be bistable, i.e., they might have stable depolarization in addition to the rest potential.
