Frequency Selective Rasorber With Low Insertion Loss and Ultra‐Broadband Scattering Reduction
We present a dual‐polarization broadband frequency selective rasorber featuring a transmission window in the middle of its absorption band. The proposed FSR achieves a –10 dB reflection band over 3.68–16.94 GHz with a fractional bandwidth of 128.6%, featuring a minimum insertion loss of 0.3 dB at 10.3 GHz.

Impacts of Atmospheric Rivers in Central Greenland: Snowfall, Clouds, and Atmospheric State
Abstract Atmospheric rivers (ARs) are long bands of strong horizontal water vapor transport responsible for over 90% of total integrated vapor transport (IVT) in extratropical and polar regions. Using a 12‐year record (2010–2022) of ground‐based remote sensing, radiosonde, snow stake, and reanalysis data from Summit Station, Greenland, we quantify the ...

A Modified Hierarchical Vision Transformer for Soil Moisture Retrieval From CYGNSS Data
Abstract This research introduces a new deep learning (DL) framework, multi‐head self‐attention‐aided vision Transformer (MSA‐ViT), for soil moisture (SM) retrieval using Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) data. We first assess the sensitivity of CYGNSS reflectivity (Γ) $({\Gamma })$ to SM, demonstrating a strong physical linkage ...

The First Results of Ionospheric Skywave Propagation Experiment Over Taiwan
Abstract An ionospheric over‐the‐horizon propagation experiment was carried out in Taiwan to investigate characteristics of ionospheric F layer skywave propagation at frequencies 4–12 MHz. Experimental results show that there are prominent diurnal variations in the incident angle, virtual height and plasma frequency at reflection height, which are ...

Increased Range Bistatic Scatter Radio
Scatter radio achieves communication by reflection and requires low-cost and low-power RF front-ends. However, its use in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is limited, since commercial scatter radio (e.g. RFID) offers short ranges of a few tens of meters.

A Novel Higher Order Local Time‐Stepping Technique for the DGTD–FDTD Method
A novel higher order local time‐stepping (LTS) technique is developed for the DGTD–FDTD (discontinuous Galerkin time‐domain–finite difference time‐domain) method to accelerate transient electromagnetic simulations. By applying a higher order equation to boundary elements between LTS classes, the method reduces approximation errors caused by LTS.
