Maximum likelihood estimation of DOD and DOA for bistatic MIMO radar
Signal Processing, 2013In this paper, the maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) of the direction of departure (DOD) and direction of arrival (DOA) of multiple targets for bistatic multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar is addressed. We derive the maximum likelihood estimator of the DOD and DOA with the assumption that the targets are unknown but deterministic.

Target estimation in bistatic MIMO radar via tensor completion
Signal Processing, 2016In this paper, the problem of target estimation in bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar is tackled via low-rank tensor completion. Our solution consists in jointly computing the direction-of-departure and direction-of-arrival parameters of a sparse target scene, where only partial data are collected at the front-end during multiple ...

Angle Estimation Using Quaternion-ESPRIT in Bistatic MIMO-Radar
Wireless Personal Communications, 2012In this letter; we present a novel two-dimensional angle estimation for bistatic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar. We reconstruct the received signal of MIMO radar to model with quaternion theory, and then angle estimate using quaternion estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance technique for MIMO radar is proposed.

Analysis of acceleration ambiguity properties for bistatic MIMO radar
2016 CIE International Conference on Radar (RADAR), 2016For the existing ambiguity function of bistatic MIMO radar can't declare the acceleration resolution of moving targets, acceleration is introduced into the ambiguity function and the distance-velocity-acceleration ambiguity function is proposed. Influence of bistatic geometry configuration on acceleration ambiguity is mainly discussed, giving the ...

Direction finding and mutual coupling estimation for bistatic MIMO radar
Signal Processing, 2012An algorithm for joint direction-of-departure (DOD) and direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation in the presence of unknown mutual coupling for bistatic MIMO radar is presented. Based on the special structure of the coupling matrix of uniform linear array (ULA), the angles can be estimated directly by two one-dimensional searches without the knowledge of ...

Multitarget detection and localization method for bistatic MIMO radar
IET Conference Publications, 2009In this paper, we present a scheme of detection and localization of multiple targets in the same range cell using two transmitters bistatic MIMO radar. The signal model is constructed by means of the rotational factor produced by transmiter. Based on the signal model, canonical correlation test (CCT) method is extended directly to determine the number ...

Performance evaluation of Null-Steering Bistatic MIMO Radar
2010 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2010Recently, MIMO radar has benn attracting attention owing to high resolution and ability of interference cancellation. At the same time, most radars steers pencil beam for the target to get much higher resolution. However, recent airplanes, for example stealth, detect radiowave from radar and attempt not to be detected.

Angle Estimation with Automatic Pairing for Bistatic MIMO Radar
2009 2nd International Congress on Image and Signal Processing, 2009In this paper, a new joint direction of departure (DOD) and direction of arrival (DOA) estimation method is presented for bistatic multiple input multiple output (MIMO) radar. Because all the diagonal elements of the transmitting and receiving invariance matrices are located on the unit circle of the complex plane, we construct a complex matrix so that
