A Bistatic Point Target Reference Spectrum for General Bistatic SAR Processing

IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Letters, 2008
A bistatic point target reference spectrum (BPTRS) based on Loffeld's bistatic formula (LBF) is derived in this letter. For LBF, the same contributions of the transmitter and receiver to the total azimuth modulation are assumed. This assumption results in the failure of LBF in the extreme configuration (i.e., spaceborne/airborne configuration).

Bistatic SAR Motion Compensation

2017
In this chapter, we focus on motion compensation in bistatic SAR. Motion compensation is an important and challenging issue for obtaining focused imagery from monostatic and bistatic SAR data. Due to fluctuations in the linear motion of the airborne SAR platform, the trace always deviates from an ideal straight line, which alters the regular phase ...

Bistatic SAR for Earth Observation

2008
This chapter presents a case study of a spaceborne BSAR based on a small satellite equipped with a receiving only antenna flying in formation along parallel orbits with a main monostatic mission. First of all, payload aspects are dealt with, focusing in particular on overall BSAR architecture and performance, and presenting solutions for key technical ...
