Preservation of Historically and Scientifically Important Geospatial Data From Venus
Abstract A large volume of scientifically and historically important data from the early exploration of Venus is not widely available to researchers. Our work is focused on ameliorating this problem with the archival of geospatial data including radar, topography, and radiometry.

Imaging Time Optimization Method for Ship Targets of Bistatic SAR
Bistatic Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), with the separated transmitter and receiver working in coordination, cannot only achieves high-resolution imaging in the forward-looking mode, but also possesses outstanding concealment and anti-interference ...

A Versatile Processing Chain for Experimental TanDEM-X Product Evaluation [PDF]
TanDEM-X is a high-resolution interferometric mission with the main goal of providing a global digital elevation model (DEM) of the Earth surface by means of single-pass X-band SAR interferometry.

On bistatic forward-looking SAR imaging
Left/right ambiguity and low angular (azimuth) resolution are severe problems for monostatic forward-looking SAR imaging. It is strongly believed that these technical issues can definitely be solved with bistatic forward-looking SAR. The analysis presented in this paper points out that the left/right ambiguity problem still exits.

Monitoring Flood Inundation Dynamics From Space
Abstract With the increasing intensity and frequency of flood events worldwide, the need for accurate and timely inundation mapping has never been more critical. Large‐scale flood extent estimations are vital for coordinating effective disaster response, facilitating recovery, and building future resilience.

Investigating SAR algorithm for spaceborne interferometric oil spill detection [PDF]
The environmental damages and recovery of terrestrial ecosystems from oil spills can last decades. Oil spills have been responsible for loss of aquamarine lives, organisms, trees, vegetation, birds and wildlife. Although there are several methods through

Can GNSS reflectometry detect precipitation over oceans? [PDF]
For the first time, a rain signature in Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS‐R) observations is demonstrated. Based on the argument that the forward quasi‐specular scattering relies upon surface gravity waves with lengths larger than ...

In this article, we provide a Gaussian beam‐based method to compute the RCS of dielectric and dielectric‐coated targets in both the monostatic and bistatic cases. ABSTRACT This study proposes to extend and refine the methodology of Gaussian beam summation (GBS) for computing the radar cross section (RCS) of dielectric targets in both monostatic and ...
