Doppler properties of spaceborne/airborne hybrid bistatic synthetic aperture radar

open access: yesGeo-spatial Information Science, 2011
In this paper, a special geometry case of spaceborne-airborne bistatic SAR (SA-BiSAR) is considered, in which satellite and aircraft flight paths are parallel and their antennas are steering at the strip map. This case is a simple but typical application example, which is applicable for non-cooperative illumination.

Digital Beamforming on Receive: Techniques and Optimization Strategies for High-Resolution Wide-Swath SAR Imaging [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) is a well-proven imaging technique for remote sensing of the earth. However, conventional SAR systems are not capable to fulfill the increasing demands for im-proved spatial resolution and wider swath coverage.

Bistatic Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar

open access: yes, 2018
GBSAR (Ground-Based Synthetic Aperture Radar) systems are popular remote sensing instruments for detecting the ground changes of landslides, glaciers, open pits, as well as for detecting small displacements of large struc-ture as bridges and dams. Recently (2017) a novel mono/bistatic GBSAR configuration has been proposed to acquire two different ...

Optimizing Circular MIMO Array Imaging Using Partial Equivalent Method for Sidelobe Suppression

open access: yesRemote Sensing
In this paper, we propose a novel approach for circular Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) array imaging, termed the Partial Equivalent Method (PEM), aimed at sidelobe suppression.

High Resolution Bistatic ISAR Imaging of Space Objects [PDF]

open access: yes
13451350Monostatic ISAR (Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar) imaging provides high-resolution images of objects based on their relative motion with respect to the radar system. These images can be used for satellite identification and characterization. The
