Liquid Metals as Initiators of Free‐Radical Polymerization of Hydrogels: A Perspective
Gallium‐based liquid metals initiate free radical polymerization to form hydrogels without the use of toxic molecular initiators. In addition to initiating polymerization, they can act as crosslinkers, yielding softer, more extensible, and tougher hydrogels than those formed with conventional initiators.

Function of masticatory muscles during the initial phase of activator treatment [PDF]
The function of masticatory muscles and the development of the bite force were studied in 15 children before and during the first six months of the treatment of distal occlusion with an activator.

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

Reconfigurable 3D Magnetic Nanoarchitectures
This experimental study confirms that 3D magnetic tetrapods grown by focused electron beam‐induced deposition exhibit sequential, controllable magnetization reversal in the individual nanowire legs. The magnetic state of the nanoarchitecture can be controlled individually, on‐demand, through a variation of the direction and magnitude of the applied ...

The masticatory function is one of the most complex neuropsychological mechanisms in human motor performance and it depends on several factors, such as bite force, muscle coordination, morphology, and number of teeth in occlusion.

Scaling of Anatomically Derived Maximal Bite Force in Primates
By combining muscle architectural data with biomechanical variables relating to the jaw, we produce anatomically derived maximum bite force estimations for 23 species of catarrhine and platyrrhine primates. We investigate how bite force scales across the

Inducing Chirality and Chiral Instabilities in Ferrogels with Homogenous Magnetic Fields
By pre‐aligning magnetic particles into chains, significant chiral deformations are induced by fixing the base of a cylindrical actuator and applying a homogeneous magnetic field. Subsequent base rotation can drive the system into metastable states. Further rotation or reduction of field strength triggers a chiral instability, characterized by a switch

Bite force measurement devices
Bite force is an indicator of proper functioning of anatomical structures composing the masticatory system. Interest in the study of this force began more than 300 years ago, when Borelli first decided to obtain an evaluation of masticatory system using a device called Gnathodynamometer. Historically, G.V.
