Flash drought (FD) strongly reduced mollusk taxa diversity and led to a sudden shift in the trait structure. Normal drought is a moderate disturbance in floodplain wetland of Poyang Lake. Deposit feeding, aerial respiration and dormancy help mollusks survive in FD.
