К вопросу зараженности Bithynia tentaculata видами рода Trematoda

2021
At the moment the problem about pollution of the city is very important. In this context, the aim of our work was to study the infection of species Trematoda of the genus Bithynia. Our objectives are: to identify the degree of contamination of shellfish, gender invasive species and stage of development of the parasite in them.

Embryonic development of Bithynia tentaculata L. (Prosobranchia, Gastropoda). I. Cleavage

Journal of Morphology, 1986
AbstractThe cell‐lineage of Bithynia tentaculata L. has been studied through the formation of the fourth quartet of micromeres, i.e., the 81‐cell stage. Up to the 28‐cell stage, the cleavage pattern is radially symmetrical, and the divisions take place synchronously in the quadrants.

[Dynamics of infection of Bithynia tentaculata (Gastropoda: Prosobranchia) with trematodes].

Parazitologiia, 2002
The dynamics of infection of Bithynia tentaculata with 7 trematode species was examined during 5 years. Stability of parasite fauna with significant changes of infection rate has been recorded. During the period of observations the infection rate of Sphaeridiotrema globulus, Notocotylus imbricatus, Holostephanus volgensis, Pleurogenoides medians and ...

Role of the Vegetal Body in the Regulation of Development inBithynia tentaculata(Prosobranchia, Gastropoda)

American Zoologist, 1976
In the first polar lobe of the egg of Bithyma tentaculata there is a cup-shaped mass of small vesicles rich in RNA, called the vegetal body. It is passed to the CD blastomere with the polar lobe and then its contents are distributed to C and D. When the polar lobe is removed, embryos form neither mesentoblast nor mesoderm bands.

The development of Bithynia tentaculata (Prosobranchia, Gastropoda) after removal of the polar lobe

Development, 1974
ABSTRACT The polar lobe of the egg of Bithynia, with a volume of less than 1 % of that of the egg, was surgically removed. Lobeless embryos form no mesentoblast cell nor mesoderm bands. They fail to establish bilateral symmetry and to form eyes, foot, operculum, shell, etc.

Die Verbreitung der Bithynia tentaculata (Linnaeus) im europäischen Jungpleistozän

1988

Chromosoma, 1973
The oocyte nuclei of Bithynia tentaculata have been investigated by light and electron microscopy. The small oocyte nuclei of the pachytene stage are characterised by a well developed “bouquet” arrangement of the chromosomes, a small nucleolus located at the nuclear envelope and lamellar inclusions of unknown function. During previtellogenesis, oocytes

Filter-feeding in the Freshwater Prosobranch Snail Bithynia tentaculata: Bioenergetic Partitioning of Ingested Carbon and Nitrogen

American Midland Naturalist, 1982
Filter-feeding has been studied in specimens of Bithynia tentaculata from a population in Oneida Lake, New York. Chlorella vulgaris cultures provided filterable material for studies of feeding and assimilation in this freshwater prosobranch snail.

A Life Table for the fresh water mollusc Bithynia tentaculata (L.)

Journal of Biological Education, 1998
Bithynia can be collected in fairly large numbers and may be measured by weighing. Probability paper can be used to separate year groups. Bithynia can be cultured in the laboratory. Year groups can be isolated to study differences in egg production. This data together with data from probability paper analysis can be used to construct a life table.
