New perturbation theory representation of the conformal symmetry breaking effects in gauge quantum field theory models

open access: yes, 2012
We propose a hypothesis on the detailed structure for the representation of the conformal symmetry breaking term in the basic Crewther relation generalized in the perturbation theory framework in QCD renormalized in the ${\rm \bar{MS}}$ scheme.

Targeting inflammation to reduce cardiovascular disease risk: a realistic clinical prospect? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Data from basic science experiments is overwhelmingly supportive of the causal role of immune-inflammatory response(s) at the core of atherosclerosis, and therefore the theoretical potential to manipulate the inflammatory response to prevent ...

BJP issue on drug discovery [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, 2010
This issue is dedicated to drug discovery. Obviously, such a diverse topic could not be adequately served in volumes of books, much less in one issue of a journal. However, we have attempted to gather topical reviews and examples of works applying novel methods in the elusive search for novel and better drugs.

Oxygen‐Driven Structural Reorganization by Trace Water Enabling Fast Li‐Ion Transport in a Pliable Solid Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Trace water is acting as a constructive mediator in 2LiCl–GaF3, markedly increasing ionic conductivity while reorganizing local coordination. Hydration creates localized Li+ solvation environments and partially dissociates ion pairs, enhancing Li‐ion mobility.

Educate to Hate: the use of education in the creation of antagonistic national identities in India and Pakistan [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In states that are diverse, issues of national identity formation and who belongs and how they belong can, and often does, change over time. The article analyses how education was used as a tool to artificially create antagonistic national identities ...

Efficacy and Safety of Subcutaneous Efgartigimod PH20 in Adults With Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia (ADVANCE SC): A Multicenter, Randomized, Double‐Blinded, Placebo‐Controlled, Phase 3 Trial

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Primary autoimmune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is characterized by thrombocytopenia, bleeding, and reduced health‐related quality of life. In the Phase 3 ADVANCE IV study, intravenous efgartigimod induced significant platelet count responses versus placebo in patients with chronic ITP. ADVANCE SC, a Phase 3, multicenter, randomized, double‐blinded,

Shedding Light on Synthetic Autocatalysis: From Conventional Closed‐Shell Chemistries to Overlooked Open‐Shell Occurrences

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Why add another catalyst when the product itself holds the power to catalyze its own formation? Autocatalysis in synthetic chemistry enhances reaction efficiency and uncovers novel catalytic behavior across both closed‐shell and open‐shell systems, expanding reactivity and enabling innovative design strategies.

Deterministic and probabilistic evaluation of raw and post-processing monthly precipitation forecasts: a case study of China

open access: yesJournal of Hydroinformatics, 2021
Monthly Precipitation Forecasts (MPF) play a critical role in drought monitoring, hydrological forecasting and water resources management. In this study, we applied two advanced Machine Learning Models (MLM) and latest General Circulation Models (GCM) to
