Matrix Maps and the Isomorphic Structure of BK Spaces [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1991
This note gives a characterization of BK spaces that contain isomorphic copies of c 0 {c_0} in terms of matrix maps and a sufficient condition for a matrix map from l ∞ {l_\infty } into a BK space to be a compact operator.

Some New Generalized Difference Spaces of Nonabsolute Type Derived from the Spaces ℓp and ℓ∞

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2013
We introduce the sequence space ℓpλ(B) of none absolute type which is a p-normed space and BK space in the cases ...

Large-conductance Ca2+-activated potassium channels are potently involved in the inverse neurovascular response to spreading depolarization

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2018
Recurrent spreading depolarizations occur in the cerebral cortex from minutes up to weeks following acute brain injury. Clinical evidence suggests that the immediate reduction of cerebral blood flow in response to spreading depolarization importantly ...

Evidence of Potential Organo-Mineral Interactions during the First Stage of Mars Terraforming

open access: yesSoil Systems, 2023
Future space missions to Mars will depend on the development of bioregenerative life support systems. Mars regolith contains most of the nutrients needed for plant growth, but not organic matter (OM).

No Froissart Bound from Gluon Saturation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
In the previous work hep-ph/0112140, hep-ph/0204277, we showed that while the nonlinear QCD evolution equation of Balitsky and Kovchegov (BK) leads to saturation of the scattering amplitude locally in impact parameter space, it does not unitarize the ...

Weighted almost convergence and related infinite matrices

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2018
The purpose of this paper is to introduce the notion of weighted almost convergence of a sequence and prove that this sequence endowed with the sup-norm ∥ ⋅ ∥ ∞ ${\Vert \cdot \Vert } _{\infty}$ is a BK-space. We also define the notions of weighted almost

Forward $$\gamma $$ γ +jet production in proton-proton and proton-lead collisions at LHC within the FoCal calorimeter acceptance

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
Using the small-x improved transverse momentum dependent factorization (ITMD), which, for a general two-to-two massless scattering can be proved within the color glass condensate (CGC) theory for transverse momenta of particles greater than the ...

Subleading-N_c corrections in non-linear small-x evolution

open access: yes, 2009
We explore the subleading-N_c corrections to the large-N_c Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) evolution equation by comparing its solution to that of the all-N_c Jalilian-Marian-Iancu-McLerran-Weigert-Leonidov-Kovner (JIMWLK) equation. In earlier simulations it was

A Formula for the Geometric Jacquet Functor and its Character Sheaf Analogue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Let (G,K) be a symmetric pair over the complex numbers, and let X=K\G be the corresponding symmetric space. In this paper we study a nearby cycles functor associated to a degeneration of X to MN\G, which we call the "wonderful degeneration". We show that
