Volcanically induced glacier collapses in southern Jan Mayen (Sør‐Jan), Norway
Boreas, Volume 54, Issue 3, Page 395-413, July 2025.A formerly unknown glacier totally covered with tephra was found in an area of Jan Mayen where no Holocene glaciation was known. This glacier and three others in the same area melted abruptly creating jökulhlaups due to volcanic activity impacting the glacier catchments at different times in the Holocene.
