Early Symptom Characterisation and Mitigation of Maize Lethal Necrosis Disease

open access: yesJournal of Phytopathology, Volume 174, Issue 3, May/June 2026.
ABSTRACT Maize (Zea mays) is a staple crop central to food security and livelihoods across sub‐Saharan Africa. In recent years, maize production in the region has been severely affected by maize lethal necrosis disease (MLND). First reported in Kenya in 2011, MLND has spread rapidly across eastern and central Africa, leading to significant yield ...

Programmable DNA‐Peptide Hybrid Nanostructures for Potent Neutralization of Multiple Influenza a Virus Subtypes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 31, 16 April 2026.
A multivalent antiviral platform based on honeycomb‐shaped DNA nanostructures (HC–Urumin) is developed to enhance the potency and breadth of the host defense peptide Urumin. Through spatially patterned trimeric presentation, HC–Urumin disrupts influenza A virus entry, improves cell viability, and reduces disease severity in vivo‐offering a modular and ...

Morphofunctional Heterogeneity and Plasticity of Glioblastoma Cells Induced to Senescence by Temozolomide

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 4, April 2026.
Glioblastoma cells induced to senescence by Temozolomide are heterogeneous, with the emergence of two main states, named E‐state and F‐state, which differ in cellular morphometry, survival mechanisms, and sensitivity to autophagy modulators and senolytics. These states are dynamic, with the occurrence of morphofunctional transitions.

A new approach for sediment motion threshold detection in bimodal mixtures

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 3, March 2026.
This study uses a correlation technique to analyse the initiation of motion in bimodal sands. Two transport thresholds are identified. The hiding‐exposure effect is examined, showing that the second threshold is linked to the D90$$ {D}_{90} $$ diameter, not the D50$$ {D}_{50} $$ of the coarser mode.

Spatial Dynamics and Lifespan of Adult Cicadas After Fire and Logging: A Radiotracking Study

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, Volume 21, Issue 2, Page 359-370, March 2026.
This study investigates the effects of wildfire and post‐fire salvage logging on the survival, spatial behavior, and habitat selection of Lyristes plebejus cicadas in Mediterranean pine forests. A total of 63 cicadas were captured, tagged with radio transmitters, and released in three disturbance contexts: burnt‐logged, burnt‐unlogged, and unburnt ...

Vertical Self‐Rectifying Memristive Arrays for Page‐Wise Parallel Logic and Arithmetic Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 8, 6 February 2026.
This study proposes a page‐wise logic‐in‐memory architecture realized in a 3D vertical resistvie random‐access memory array of self‐rectifying memristors. By introducing intra‐ and inter‐page logic primitives, the system enables Boolean and arithmetic operations to be executed directly within the memory.

Interferon‐Driven Biomarkers and Synergistic Therapy for PRMT5 Inhibition in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 6, 30 January 2026.
Triple‐negative breast cancer exhibits variable sensitivity to PRMT5 inhibition. Basal interferon signaling is identified as a key biomarker of response. PARP inhibition with olaparib induces IFN signaling, sensitizing resistant TNBC cells to PRMT5 inhibitors.

Cellular Functions of the Squash Leaf Curl Geminivirus Movement Proteins BL1 and BR1

open access: yes, 1998
Plant viruses encode what are typically called movement proteins (MPs). These are defined as proteins dispensable for viral replication and encapsidation, but essential for cell to cell movement of the virus to the phloem and eventually leading to ...

Les « Matériaux Boulard » trente ans après. Des chiffres et des cartes...

open access: yes, 2013
La publication en 2011 du dernier volume des « Matériaux pour l’histoire religieuse du peuple français », plus connus sous le nom de « Matériaux Boulard », et la journée d’étude organisée à cette occasion à l’Université de Lyon ont permis de mettre en ...
