H1517+656: The Birth of a BL Lacertae Object?

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2005
H1517+656 is an unusual source, even for a BL Lac object. It is one of the most luminous BL Lac objects known, with extreme emission properties at radio, optical, and X-ray frequencies. Furthermore, in our WFPC2 snapshot survey we discovered a series of peculiar arcs describing a 24 radius ring surrounding the source.

Revisiting the Flaring Activity in Early 2015 of BL Lacertae Object S5 0716+714

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In this work, we analyzed multiwavelength data of the BL Lac object S5 0716+714 to investigate its emission mechanisms during a flaring state observed in early 2015.

The Oscillation in Evolution of Changing-look Blazar OQ 334

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We investigate the evolution of a changing-look blazar (CLB) on long timescales and expect to trace the state change of a CLB. Three morphological types, including a flat spectrum radio quasar (FSRQ) state, transition state, and BL Lacertae (BL Lac ...

Systematic Search for Long-term Trends in Fermi-LAT Jetted Active Galactic Nuclei

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Jetted active galactic nuclei (AGN) exhibit variability across a wide range of timescales. Traditionally, this variability can often be modeled well as a stochastic process.
