Herbicide Resistance in the Weed Alopecurus Myosuroides (Black-Grass): The Current Situation
1992Chlorotoluron-resistant Alopecurus myosuroides was first detected in England in 1982 and has now been found on 46 farms in 19 counties. Resistance is mainly associated with winter cereal crops established by non-ploughing cultivation techniques, where herbicides have been applied regularly, on average 1.6 applications per year. Dynamic of black-grass populations depending on the sowing time of winter wheat.
Communications in agricultural and applied biological sciences, 2012Currently, economic, agronomic and environmental concerns, lead to reduce use of herbicides.
