Plasma‐Treated Hydrogel for Combined RONS and Chemotherapy Delivery: A Proof‐of‐Concept In Ovo

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores plasma‐treated hydrogels (PTH) as a new way to deliver both reactive oxygen and nitrogen species and chemotherapy (Doxorubicin) directly to tumors. In ovo tests show effects after a single dose, especially in osteosarcoma tumors. Tumor weight decrease, and a resistance‐related protein is reduced.

Analysis of black hole solutions in parabolic class using neural networks

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2023
AbstractIn this paper, we introduce a numerical method based on Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) for the analysis of black hole solutions to the Einstein-axion-dilaton system in a high dimensional parabolic class. Leveraging a profile root-finding technique based on General Relativity we describe an ANN solver to directly tackle the system of ordinary

Kinetic Insights into Precursor‐Assisted Soft Sphere Close Packing Revealed by In Situ GISAXS with Implications for Gas Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The versatile precursor‐assisted soft sphere close packing during slot‐die coating is investigated with in situ X‐ray scattering. The soft crystallization pathways towards a close packing involve multistep structural transitions such as surface nucleation, in‐plane, and out‐of‐plane crystallization.

Modulating Two‐Photon Absorption in a Pyrene‐Based MOF Series: An In‐Depth Investigation of Structure–Property Relationships

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates H4TBAPy‐based metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) ‐ NU‐1000, NU‐901, SrTBAPy, and BaTBAPy ‐ for multiphoton absorption (MPA) performance. It observes topology‐dependent variations in the 2PA cross‐section, with BaTBAPy exhibiting the highest activity.

Love in Extrema Ratio

open access: yes, 2019
The tidal deformability of a self-gravitating object leaves an imprint on the gravitational-wave signal of an inspiral which is paramount to measure the internal structure of the binary components.

Polymer‐Incorporated Mechanically Compliant Carbon Nanotube Microelectrode Arrays for Multichannel Neural Signal Recording

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a soft microelectrode array based on vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) forests, combining high conductivity with mechanical softness. A densification process and air‐pressure‐assisted flexibilization improve structural integrity, ensuring stable insertion and reduced inflammation.

Role of electric charge in shaping equilibrium configurations of fluid tori encircling black holes

open access: yes, 2011
Astrophysical fluids may acquire non-zero electrical charge because of strong irradiation or charge separation in a magnetic field. In this case, electromagnetic and gravitational forces may act together and produce new equilibrium configurations, which ...

Intelligent black hole detection in mobile AdHoc networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical and Computer Engineering (IJECE), 2019

Security is a critical and challenging issue in MANET due to its open-nature characteristics such as: mobility, wireless communications, self-organizing and dynamic topology. MANETs are commonly the target of black hole attacks. These are launched by malicious nodes that join the network to sabotage and drain it
