Direct Evidence of Topological Dirac Fermions in a Low Carrier Density Correlated 5d Oxide
The 5d oxide BiRe2O6 is discovered as a low‐carrier‐density topological semimetal hosting symmetry‐protected Dirac fermions stabilized by nonsymmorphic symmetries. Angle‐resolved photoemission spectroscopy, quantum oscillations, and magnetotransport measurements reveal gapless Dirac cones, quasi‐2D Fermi surfaces, high carrier mobility, and a field ...

Non‐covalent protein–protein interactions mediated by SH3, PDZ, or GBD domains enable the self‐assembly of stable and biocatalytically active hydrogel materials. These soft materials can be processed into monodisperse foams that, once dried, exhibit enhanced mechanical stability and activity and are easily integrated into microstructured flow ...

Primordial black holes and wormholes from domain wall networks
Domain walls (DWs) are topological defects originating from phase transitions in the early Universe. In the presence of an energy imbalance between distinct vacua, enclosed DW cavities shrink until the entire network disappears. By studying the dynamics of thin-shell bubbles in general relativity, we demonstrate that closed DWs with sizes exceeding the

Liquid Metals as Initiators of Free‐Radical Polymerization of Hydrogels: A Perspective
Gallium‐based liquid metals initiate free radical polymerization to form hydrogels without the use of toxic molecular initiators. In addition to initiating polymerization, they can act as crosslinkers, yielding softer, more extensible, and tougher hydrogels than those formed with conventional initiators.

New Equations of State in Simulations of Core-Collapse Supernovae
We discuss three new equations of state (EOS) in core-collapse supernova simulations. The new EOS are based on the nuclear statistical equilibrium model of Hempel and Schaffner-Bielich (HS), which includes excluded volume effects and relativistic mean ...

Multicolor optoelectronic synapses are realized by vertically integrating solution‐processed MoS2 thin‐film and SWCNT. The electronically disconnected but interactive MoS2 enables photon‐modulated remote doping, producing a bi‐directional photoresponse.

Magnetorotational instability in relativistic hypermassive neutron stars
A differentially rotating hypermassive neutron star (HMNS) is a metastable object which can be formed in the merger of neutron-star binaries. The eventual collapse of the HMNS into a black hole is a key element in generating the physical conditions ...

On Jamming and Black Hole Attacks in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks
The proliferation of radio-enabled equipment, including sensors, controllers, actuators, mobile handhelds, etc., into the today's heterogeneous wireless network (HWN) has led to the support of different vertical services on-top of the same physical infrastructure. Such an approach increases the potential for enhanced multiplexing gains due to the joint
