From thermodynamics to the solutions in gravity theory
In a recent work, we present a new point of view to the relation of gravity and thermodynamics, in which we derive the Schwarzschild solution through thermodynamic considerations by the aid of the Misner–Sharp mass in an adiabatic system.

Corrections to Reissner-Nordstr\"om black hole solution due to exponential nonlinear electrodynamics
An exponential model of nonlinear electrodynamics coupled with the gravitational field is analyzed. It was shown that weak, dominant, and strong energy conditions are satisfied. We obtain corrections to Coulomb's law at $r\rightarrow\infty$.

Discovery of a 7 mHz X-Ray Quasi-periodic Oscillation from the most Massive Stellar-mass Black Hole IC 10 X-1 [PDF]
We report the discovery with XMM-Newton of an approximately 7 mHz X-ray (0.3-10.0 keV) quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) from the eclipsing, high-inclination black hole binary IC 10 X-1.

Screen gate‐based transistors are presented, enabling tunable analog sigmoid and Gaussian activations. The SA‐transistor improves MRI classification accuracy, while the GA‐transistor supports precise Gaussian kernel tuning for forecasting. Both functions are implemented in a single device, offering compact, energy‐efficient analog AI processing ...

Codes and Virtues: Can Good Lawyers be Good Ethical Deliberators? [PDF]
Regardless of its specific contents, any black letter statutory codification regulating lawyers\u27 conduct will be flawed as an instrument of ethics for lawyers. This is the central thesis of this Article.

Tracing the History of Recent Bulge Star Formation in Active Galactic Nuclei
We examine the relation between black hole accretion and bulge star formation as a function of look-back time (tau) in 20,541 obscured AGNs (with redshifts ~ 0.1 and bolometric luminosities L_Bol ~ 10^43--10^45 erg s^-1) optically selected from the ...

Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.

Black Letters and Black Rams: Fictionalizing Law and Legalizing Literature in Enlightenment England
This spectacle of the promiscuous widow is described in a legal self-help book printed for women (and, in this case, by a woman). It was designed, claims its anonymous author, to inform the "fair Sex . . . how to preserve their Lands, Goods and most valuable Effects" (vii).

The lack of variability of the iron line in MCG-6-30-15: general relativistic effects
The spectrum and variability of the Seyfert galaxy MCG-6-30-15 can be decomposed into two apparently disconnected components: a highly variable power law and an almost constant component which contains a broad and strong iron line.

Ferroelectrics Hybrids: Harnessing Multifunctionality of 2D Semiconductors in the Post‐Moore Era
In this Review, the state of art of ferroelectric hybrid systems—combining ferroelectrics, 2D semiconductors, and molecular switches is presented—as next‐generation platforms for high‐density, multifunctional electronics. By discussing 2D FeFET applications, nanoscale material downscaling, M3D integration, and emerging ferroelectrics, it highlights ...
